HERE WE GO AGAIN! (no pun intended!)

So today is Tuesday the 28th of September and I've only just finished reading the Module Three Handbook!

I know i have started the term late but that is because i have been in Dubai with the show Mamma Mia and i got back Sunday the 26th of September in the evening.

My head has been with the show and i haven't really thought about this module until now (only being honest!)

After reading the handbook i am feeling a little overwhelmed and nervous but i am confident in myself that i will get this done!

Luckily i have three months off from the show, so i have more free time to really focus in on my studies and do the best i can do.

I have highlighted key areas in the handbook and wrote out on a word document exactly what i need to do to pass this course. I am not 100% i know exactly what i am doing, however because of how i felt last module (which was the same, if not more overwhelmed) I am confident that everything will just come together and im going to trust the process more.

Because my inquiry is around casting and the ethics/impact it has on society, i have thought about this question a lot over the summer. I have had a few private conversations with cast members around it and it has opened my mind up more.

I am looking forward to diving in deep with this inquiry and learning as much as i can. i'm not afraid to fail anymore which i feel has freed my mind and thoughts up dramatically.

So now comes the hard part which is researching, making notes, starting my interviews etc. I'm Just going to take 4 hours of my day, 5 days a week to focus on my studies and go from there. it worked for me last time, so i'm sure it will work again.

If anyone has any questions, tips or tricks please send them my way!

Until next time

CG xoxo

  2. Hi Chloe! Congrats on the Dubai tour, it sounds amazing! Don’t stress about "starting late” it’s still only the very beginning of term and it seems like you have some time now to get everything done. Personally I feel like the handbooks sometimes do more harm than good in terms of making us feel overwhelmed- I think there is actually less to cover this term even though the final report is longer and it should be easier since your inquiry is a topic you are actually interested in (as opposed to researching how to research :/ ) best of luck for the start of your research! 3. Wow you have been so busy! The Mamma Mia tour sounded amazing, I think it's completely understandable not to have thought about BAPP while you were out there. But you seem to have a very good headset now. Good luck with everything! I'm excited to hear more about your research soon :) x

  4. Congrats on the Mamma Mia tour that is amazing news! You are not late do not worry :) really excited to hear more about your research! I agree with Kirsty, the handbooks can be very overwhelming but once you've made your own little to do list, you'll find you start ticking things off pretty quickly!

  5. Hey Chloe! Amazing about Mamma Mia! And it's brilliant that you now have some time off which will hopefully take a bit of the pressure off for you. I've found it a lot more helpful to just give in this term to my natural study..flow I guess you call it. I would try to force myself to have 'study days' last term but my brain just does not work that way and I'd end up overwhelmed and procrastinate like crazy. I'm just studying after 3 o clock now since I know that's when I concentrate most . Sounds like you know what's the best tactic for you anyway! Good luck with your interviews! :)
